Salford tweeted: "Adults £10, Concessions £5, 5 and Under Free" as they encouraged fans to buy tickets for the National League tie.

But one Gunners fan took exception to the pricing and called out the former United full-back and his "pub team" despite National League tickets averaging around £15.

And Neville, who owns ten per cent of Salford City, reacted with a cheeky dig.

He tweeted: "£70 to watch your pub team v city last Sunday."

Arsenal 0-2 Manchester City: Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva give Pep Guardiola dream Prem start

Controversial Sky Sports presenter Jamie Carragher shows restraint after receiving abuse from Manchester City fans

Arsenal were beaten 2-0 by Manchester City on Sunday afternoon, with Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva scoring either side of half-time to secure the points for Pep Guardiola's side.

It was Unai Emery's first Premier League game in charge but many of the cracks from the end of Arsene Wenger's reign at Arsenal were evident.

Petr Cech, Granit Xhaka and Mesut Ozil came under particular criticism for their performances, with the goalkeeper almost scoring a calamitous own goal.

It doesn't get much easier for Emery's "pub team" either, with a trip to Maurizio Sarri's Chelsea on Saturday next up for the Gunners, with kick-off soon after full-time between fellow "pub team" Salford City and Chesterfield.
