ANDER HERRERA has hinted he will commit his long-term future to Manchester United... with his current deal expiring in June.

The Spaniard, 29, has described the club as treating him "perfectly" as he looks to stay on at the club beyond the 2018-19 season.

Herrera has made 161 appearances since his £29million switch from Athletic Bilbao four years ago and says he is targeting the 200 milestone.

On his future, Herrera said: “All the memories I have are amazing. I’ve been able to win trophies for the club.

"I have been able to play more than 160 games right now, so what I have in my mind is to go for the 200 games and keep adding games for the club and for myself.

“The way the club treats me is perfect.

"The love the fans show for me couldn’t be better or bigger, my family is happy in Manchester.

"So I will just try to give everything and use all my strength and effort to keep deserving to play for this club.”

Herrera's future at United has been the subject of speculation during the summer transfer window - with a return to Spain one potential option.

However, since then, Herrera has been quick to confirm he wants to stay - and was even spotted at a Manchester estate agent earlier this month.
