Man City and Barcelona target Miralem Pjanic set to sign bumper new contract with Juventus
The Bosnian midfielder has caught the eye of clubs across Europe, thanks to his impressive form last season where he managed seven goals and 14 assists
JUVENTUS are offering a bumper pay packet to Miralem Pjanic in order to fend off the advances of Manchester City and Barcelona.
The Bosnian international is reportedly happy with Juventus and a significant pay increase is likely to make him even happier.
The 28-year-old joined the Old Lady from Roma in the summer of 2016, and has scored 15 times in 91 appearances for the Italian champions over the last two seasons.
So it's little wonder that he's in demand across Europe.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, in order to keep him in Turin, Pjanic's contract could see him earn a £1.25m raise.
Pep Guardiola is likely to be less than impressed with the news as he's desperate to land a central midfielder after his side lost out on Jorginho, who opted to join Chelsea instead.
Juve are believed to rate the 28-year-old at a whopping £89m, but the Serie A champions aren't keen to let him go now that they've also brought Cristiano Ronaldo and Leonardo Bonucci on board.
And with a hefty salary increase on the table, the Bosnian star may well spend another year at the Allianz Stadium.
His honours with Juventus include two Scudetto titles, two Coppa Italia trophies and a runaround in the Champions League final, albeit unsuccessful.
If he stays put, the club's primary aim will undoubtedly be Champions League glory- something that Juventus newbie Ronaldo knows very well.
