Neymar already injured on his PSG return as Marco Verratti mocks him after Marquinhos steps on Brazilian’s foot during French Super Cup celebrations
The former Barcelona forward came on as a second half substitute in the 4-0 win against Monaco on Saturday
MARCO VERRATTI has mocked Neymar on social media after Marquinhos stepped on the Brazilian's foot during Paris Saint Germain's French Super Cup celebrations.
The Italian midfielder posted a picture of the ex-Barcelona forward's anguished face on the podium, alongside six crying laughing emojis on his Instagram story.
Neymar came on as a late second half substitute on Saturday, as PSG eased to a 4-0 win against Ligue 1 rivals Monaco.
It was the 26-year-old's first game for Les Parisiens since he suffered a foot injury against Marseille in February.
And the former Santos star was left fearing the worst after his compatriot trod on his crocked right foot.
A worried Marquinhos instantly grabbed the leg of Neymar - who let out a loud scream just as Thiago Silva was lifting the Trophee des Champions cup.
But panic soon turned into laughter, as Neymar shared a joke with goalscorer Angel Di Maria to allay Thomas Tuchel's fears he would miss the start of the season.
The Ligue 1 Player of the Year will be vying to start in the top-flight opener against Caen at Parc des Princes on Sunday.
He starred in his debut season in France last campaign - chalking up with 28 goals and 16 assists in 30 games in all competitions.
And it wasn't just Verratti who saw the funny side of Marquinhos stepping on Neymar's foot, as fans also got in on the act...
