Everton want Denis Cheryshev as they line up move for Russian World Cup star
Winger scored impressive four goals as he guided country to highly respectable quarter-final finish
EVERTON are reportedly plotting a move for Russian World Cup star Denis Cheryshev.
The winger is currently on the books at Villarreal but Spanish newspaper claims he could soon be plying his trade in the Premier League.
Cheryshev scored four goals during the World Cup this summer, helping Russia secure an impressive quarter-final finish.
And it now seems Marco Silva is determined to bring him to Goodison Park despite wrapping up a £40million deal for Watford’s Richarlison.
Cheryshev would give Everton an extra edge on the left-hand side of the pitch.
And his bullet shots from distance could also see the Toffees gain the odd goal or two from outside the box.
Meanwhile, there could be plenty more comings and goings on Merseyside before the transfer window closes on August 9.
Barcelona duo Lucas Digne and Yerry Mina are expected to join Everton shortly.
While Silva is also keen to bring in Marcos Rojo from Manchester United.
Jordan Pickford is wanted by Chelsea as a replacement for Thibaut Courtois, but could commit his future to Everton after being offered a lucrative new contract.
