Meanwhile, midfielder Adrien Rabiot has been linked with both the Spanish and Italian champions this summer as his eight-year stint with PSG looks to be coming to an end.

The Parisians have been linked with fellow left-footed midfielder Julian Weigl this summer, as new boss Thomas Tuchel looks to raid former side Borussia Dortmund.

Rabiot failed to make Didier Deschamps' 23-man squad for Russia, and refused to be put on the standby list, claiming he would not be able to follow the training regime laid out.

He was roundly criticised for the move, with French Football Federation president Noel Le Graet saying: "He made a bad decision. He penalises himself and sanctions himself alone."

In February he by then-boss Unai Emery at PSG, but that he was 'not jealous of either'.

Mbappe is rewarded for his stunning performances in Russia, scoring four times including in the 4-2 final win over Croatia.

There, he wore 10, while he has also worn 20 for the national team.

A World Cup winners' medal adds to his already bulging trophy cabinet, which includes Ligue 1 titles in each of the last two seasons, first with Monaco and then PSG.
