Aaron Ramsey admits he is uncertain about his Arsenal future, with his agent locked in negotiations over a new deal
Midfielder has been offered a new deal at the Emirates but is yet to commit his future with just a year left on his existing contract with the club
AARON RAMSEY admits he is still uncertain about his Arsenal future as he enters the final year on his deal with the club.
The Wales international will become a free agent next summer unless the Gunners can come up with a package that will convince him to commit his long-term future to them.
Talks between Arsenal and the midfielder's agent have been ongoing for several months but there has still been no agreement reached.
And Ramsey, 27, admits he is not quite sure what the problem is over why the London club have failed to come up with a suitable offer.
He told : "We'll see what happens, but my agent and the club are talking.
"I'm not sure exactly what it hinges on, I'm just leaving it to them to discuss and to figure it out but we are yet to come to an agreement.
"That's something that my agent and the club are discussing to try and get something done.
Asked how long it would take to resolve, he added: "I'm not sure exactly. It's taken a bit of time so far so we will have to wait and see."
Ramsey is now one of the senior members of the Arsenal squad inherited by new coach Unai Emery and is expected to figure a lot in the Spaniard's plans for this season.
But the London club will be desperate to get a new deal over the line before the start of the season to avoid a repeat of the contract problems which dogged them last year.

The Gunners allowed star players Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil to both enter the final 12 months of their deals, and opened themselves up for months of uncertainty over their futures.
They were left facing the prospect of losing both on free transfers - causing unrest among the squad and unwanted interest from other clubs interested in buying them.
In the end Arsenal settled for cashing in on Sanchez mid-season by selling him to Manchester United, a deal that weakened their squad's challenge for a top four finish.
And with a list of sides queuing up to sign Ozil on a free, they eventually met the Germany World Cup winner's demands for an increase in wages to get the deal signed.
Ramsey is not understood to be holding out for a huge pay rise, but it is still worrying for the club to have another important player nearing the end of his contract.
