Chelsea release yellow 2018/19 away kit but Gary Cahill deleted from unveiling picture on social media

CHELSEA have released their new away kit for the upcoming season but one fan on social media has already deleted Gary Cahill from the promo picture.

Cahill revealed this week he could quit Stamford Bridge after six years if new boss Maurizio Sarri adds Juventus defender Daniele Rugani this summer.

However, the 32-year-old is already history to some Chelsea faithful, with one cheekily erasing him from the publicity shots of their new away shirt design by Nike.

World Cup winner N’Golo Kante and PFA Women’s Players’ of the year Fran Kirby are also featured.

CFC_Sam said on Twitter: “They could have used photos of other players.”

@Zoumiazga said: “Don’t let this be the last time we see Hazard in a Chelsea kit.”

The new strip is a throwback to the yellow jersey made famous in the 1960’s and 70’s and returns for the first time since the 2014/15 when Chelsea won the Premier League title.

A lion from the club crest sits on the neckline, alongside “Football is the game”, the second line of the famous Chelsea anthem, “Blue is the colour” is the first line featuring on the home jersey.

The sportswear giants reckon the Vaporknit Match Jersey is engineered for speed, with body-mapped fabric releasing excess heat and Ultralight quick-dry construction to allow to move at full speed.

Chelsea are the latest club to unveil a new away strip costing £160, with supporters of Premier League clubs for the first time being charged on average over £100 for new kits.
