Everton linked with shock bid for Adnan Januzaj after ex-Manchester United winger impresses at World Cup
23-year-old has managed to re-invent himself at Real Sociedad - but could be set for a return to the Premier League
EVERTON are lining up a sensational bid to bring Adnan Januzaj back to the Premier League, according to reports.
The 23-year-old was part of Belgium's World Cup squad, and scored the only goal of the game against England on his only start of the tournament.
Januzaj moved to the Spanish side for an initial £8m that could rise to £9.8m with add-ons last summer after failing to convince at Old Trafford.
It is believed United have a buy-back clause inserted into the deal, but there has not be any indication that they want to bring him back for a second chance.
Het Nieuwsblad says that Goodison Park could be a 'nice destination' for Januzaj, highlighting that he used to live in the North West of England.
Januzaj featured 28 times last season for Socieadad, bagging five assists along the way.
It was enough to persuade Belgium boss Roberto Martinez to call him up for Russia, although he didn't feature quite as much as he would have liked.
But he will remember the group game against England for a long time.
His goal won the game and meant the Red Devils topped Group G - he played 86 minutes before being replaced by Dries Mertens.
That game was said to have propelled Belgium into the 'harder' side of the draw. But they still made it as far as England did into the semi-finals.
If Everton sign Januzaj, it could be two new wingers finding their feet at Goodison Park next season.
The Toffees have tabled a bid of £30million plus add-ons and will offer the 21-year-old a five-year deal worth £80,000-a-week, report .
