ARSENAL head coach Unai Emery remains uncertain on Aaron Ramsey's future at the club, according to reports.
The Gunners boss wants the Welshman to remain at the Emirates Stadium, but the midfielder is yet to put pen-to-paper on a new contract.
Ramsey has just one year left on his current deal, with Arsenal facing the prospect of selling him this summer to ensure he does not go on a free transfer in 12 months' time, as reported by .
And Emery is unaware of his reasons for not renewing his contract.
The Arsenal boss said: "This is one question for the player, the club, but my opinion - I said to them - I think he is one important player for me.
"I'm very happy with him. Every day every training session he is with the ambition I want. He is working with quality. I want to work with him."

Emery showed his faith his the Welshman by handing Ramsey the captain's armband in his first match as Arsenal head coach in the 8-0 win at Boreham Wood.
While the Spaniard is keen to keep him, the midfielder has yet to agree to a new deal and could sell him in order to avoid letting him go for nothing next season.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Juventus are among those keen to take Ramsey away from the the Gunners.
It would likely force Emery back into the transfer market, having previously stated that his business was concluded barring any sensational deals being available.
