N'Zonzi, 29, left Stoke for La Liga in 2015 and his stock has continued to rise after winning the Europa League and breaking into the France national squad.

But now he feels he has unfinished business in the Premier League and the Hammers will look to bolster their midfield with the World Cup star, reports Le10Sport.

But they will need a fork out the £35million release clause which was added into his one-year contract extension signed in February.

Arsenal remain favourites to land N'Zonzi with new boss Unai Emery keen to reunite with the midfielder he signed for Sevilla.
