CRISTIANO RONALDO has completed a sensational switch to Italian giants Juventus.

The former Manchester United star makes the move after nearly a decade at Real Madrid, where he won four Champions League titles and two La Liga championships.

THE Portuguese star is currently away on holiday - but a deal has been brokered with the Serie A side.

He will cost them £88million.

Ronaldo became the world's most expensive player when he left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in 2009 for £80million.

Why did he leave Real Madrid?

And it seems that after nearly a decade with the Spanish side, he feels it is time for a different challenge.

Juve haven't won the Champions League since 1996 and are desperate to add it to their already bulging trophy cabinet.

They're often seen as the unluckiest team in the tournaments history, finishing runners-up seven times.

Despite being 33 and saying he wanted to retire with Madrid, a new contract offer was stalled by club president Florentino Perez in January, leading to Ronaldo looking elsewhere.
