David Beckham’s new Miami MLS side unveil incredible stadium plans including 23 acres of football pitches for public

Elaborately named Miami Freedom Park will be part of 110 acres of permanent green space and the side are expected to have their first season in 2020

DAVID BECKHAM'S Miami MLS side have unveiled their incredible plans for the team's stadium.

The elaborately titled Miami Freedom Park, set in south Florida, was revealed in a video by Becks' business partner Jorge Mas last night.

The "world class soccer village and technology hub" will apparently feature 110 acres of permanent green space and 23 acres of pitches for youths to play on - and open to the public.

In addition to this, they pledged that no public money would be used to fund the stadium build.

Benefits to the area are said to include up to £30million of annual tax revenue, £15m to the city as a whole and some 11,000 jobs created over three years.

The construction of the stadium will be included on a referendum in November's ballot.

And fans seemed to love the look of the plans teased on the side's official Twitter feed - which also included an image of Robbie Keane celebrating.

One wrote: "Can't wait for away days!"

A fellow user posted: "Oh my goodness! This is incredible! Well done! It's almost like its own town! This will replace Banc of California as the best stadium in the league."

Beckham, who was pictured by wife Victoria relaxing on a giant inflatable peacock in a swimming pool over the weekend, announced in January this year his dream for an MLS team was finally being realised - and placed in Miami.

The team, who do not yet have an official name, are expected to have their first season in 2020.
