Marouane Fellaini says his future will be sorted ‘soon’ as Manchester United contract nears end
Belgian international is remaining tight-lipped on his future as host of Prem and Turkish sides join Milan in the chase for his signature
MAROUANE FELLAINI says his future will be sorted shortly with his Manchester United contract expiring next week.
The Belgian star failed to agree an extension at Old Trafford after demanding wages of £125,000-a-week.
Jose Mourinho rates the midfielder highly, but the Red Devils have refused to bow to the 30-year-old’s request.
A number of Premier League and Turkish clubs have joined AC Milan in the race for the ace.
But Fellaini is keeping things close to his chest for now while away on international duty at the World Cup.
When quizzed on whether he would return to Manchester next season, he told reporters: “You will know soon.”
United have already bolstered their midfield this summer with the £52million capture of Brazilian Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk.
But with Fellaini’s expected departure and the retirement of Michael Carrick they are still looking a little short.
Lazio’s Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, a towering Serbian, remains one of their top targets.
But a deal is proving difficult to do with the Serie A club as they wait to see whether their prized-asset can boost his value while representing his country in Russia.
