RANGERS boss Steven Gerrard has snapped-up his former Liverpool team-mate Jon Flanagan on a free transfer.
The Reds defender, 25, has signed a two-year deal at the Scottish Premiership club, becoming Gerrard's seventh summer signing.
Flanagan will link up with his old skipper at Ibrox, along with another Liverpool pal, Ovie Ejaria, who's joined on loan.
The right-back - who enjoyed a superb 2013-14 under now-Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers - passed a medical in Manchester earlier today.
Rangers have now officially confirmed the deal, with Gerrard continuing his squad overhaul in Scotland.
A statement revealed: “Rangers can announce that Jon Flanagan has become the club’s seventh signing of the summer on a two-year deal.
“The full-back joins from Liverpool Football Club after graduating from academy to first-team at Anfield.
“The defender played a crucial role in the Reds’ title chase of 2013-14 in a side captained by Steven Gerrard.
“The new Gers boss has now brought his former team-mate north of the border for a fresh challenge.”
Flanagan worked through the youth ranks at Liverpool but has spent time on loan at Bolton and Burnley in recent seasons.
