West Ham’s Pedro Obiang in three-way transfer tussle involving Fiorentina, Besiktas and Villarreal
Hammers boss Manuel Pellegrini will weigh up if he should cash in on the the £15m-rated former Spain Unde-21 star
FIORENTINA have launched a bid to land West Ham midfielder Pedro Obiang.
The Italians have moved swiftly for the Spaniard, who suffered a knee injury last season as the Hammers slipped into relegation trouble.
Villarreal have also shown interest in the £15million-rated player and Turkish side Besiktas are also expected to join the race for him.
Manuel Pellegrini will weigh up whether to cash in on the ex-Sampdoria star, 26, and use the cash to rebuild his squad.
The former Spain Under-21 international was a regular last season as David Moyes initially got the club out of danger.
But Obiang’s knee injury against Wigan in the FA Cup ruled him out until May - and Moyes’ side struggled without him.
The 26-year-old was a January loan target for Inter Milan.
At the end of 2016-17 he signed a contract extension until 2022.

But that did not stop AC Milan, Everton and Sevilla showing interest.
Meanwhile, the Hammers have reportedly beaten the Toffees in the £22m race for Toulouse centre-back Issa Diop.
L’Equipe say Diop, 21, is likely to become Pellegrini's first signing.
And he would seem to be an ideal replacement for West Ham's outgoing Welshman James Collins.
