ANDER HERRERA wants talks over his Manchester United future with boss Jose Mourinho this summer.
The Spanish midfielder saw his role in the United starting eleven diminish over the last season.
He has since gone further back in the pecking order, with United snapping-up Fred from Shakhtar Donetsk for £52m.
And the ex-Athletic Bilbao ace wants to know where he stands in Mourinho’s plans for the near future.
The 28-year-old has just 12-months left on his deal, and is still waiting on a concrete offer from the Red Devils.
He is able to speak to other clubs around Europe in January, and available to move on a free transfer next summer.
It is understood Herrera is frustrated with Old Trafford chiefs over their lack of offering fresh terms.
But United want to complete their summer transfer business before addressing his contract situation.
Mourinho is fearful of another Marouane Fellaini situation, who is set to leave Old Trafford for nothing after his contract ran down.
