World Cup 2018: John Stones reveals Pep Guardiola will be on hand 24/7 to help England’s bid
Manchester City boss has made himself available to all his players during the tournament and the defender will be taking him up on the offer
ENGLAND defender John Stones has revealed Pep Guardiola will be on hand 24/7 to help him during the World Cup.
The Manchester City boss has promised to help out any of his players who are featuring in Russia.
And Stones, 24, is planning to take the Spaniard up on his offer as he prepares to take a leading role in Gareth Southgate's defence.
He said: "I will definitely speak to him in the tournament. He's very open.
"He said we can call him or text him whenever we need to, 24 hours a day.
"He's always said that which is brilliant of him as a person in my opinion. Even if it's not football-related. That's important."
Guardiola snapped up Stones from Everton in 2016 and the centre-back believes he has seen massive improvements in his game since then.
He now hopes his experiences can help the Three Lions make an impact this summer.

Asked what was behind his rise to prominence for his country, Stones added: "Mostly Pep! Definitely Pep, the players I'm playing with at club level and obviously becoming more mature, knowing myself and knowing the game better.
