Marcelo says Neymar will join Real Madrid – and takes dig at Cristiano Ronaldo claiming ‘he is not the boss’
World's most-expensive player has been tipped to leave Paris Saint-Germain for the Bernabeu this summer
MARCELO has told Neymar "the door is open" at Real Madrid — after appearing to take a slight dig at team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo.
Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona last summer in a world-record £198million deal, is a target for Los Blancos.
While Ronaldo's comments after the Champions League final hinted he could be set to leave the club, with reports suggesting their public pursuit of the Brazilian striker is one of the reasons for his unhappiness.
But Marcelo insisted: "Cristiano is not the boss of Real Madrid.
"If the president wants to sign someone, the president will sign him. But why can Cristiano not stay at Neymar come?
"All the players want Cristiano to stay — and the door is always open for Neymar at Real Madrid.
"Real Madrid are always looking for the best players. One day, Neymar will play for Real Madrid."
Meanwhile, Marcelo also claimed the duo will be fighting it out for the individual awards.

He added: "I still haven't understood the criteria for the Ballon d'Or. I don't know if it's based on titles, the season, quality of the player. It depends on the votes.
"Whoever has the most votes wins. For me, Cristiano is the best at the moment and Neymar, without a doubt, will become Cristiano's equal."
