HARRY KANE was forced to have his ankle strapped just 10 days before the start of the World Cup.
England's No9 was being attended to by a member of the Three Lions' staff raising concerns over his fitness.
Kane, 24, remains integral if Gareth Southgate's men are to upset the odds in Russia.
He was on the scoresheet in the first of two World Cup warm-up games - a 2-1 victory over Nigeria.
It remains unclear whether it will have any impact of Southgate's team selection ahead of England's opener against Tunisia on June 18.
England will continue their preparations against Costa Rica on Thursday and Southgate will have to decide whether to risk Kane from the off.
It will be the last time he gets to see his squad in action before jetting off to Russia.
