Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri puts Premier League clubs on alert admitting he will leave Championship side this summer
Swiss star seems to have no interest in helping Potters get back to the big time at first attempt after relegation
STOKE CITY winger Xherdan Shaqiri insists the Premier League is the place for him next season.
The Swiss attacker has gone early with his come-and-get-me plea, as he plots a move away from the relegated Potters this summer.
Shaqiri,26, who hit eight goals last term has been linked with a move to Everton and has a clause allowing him to leave the bet365 stadium for just £13.5million.
While not dismissing a move to the continent, Shaqiri admits he would like to stay in England.
He told Aargauer Zeitung: “It is no secret that I will leave the club.
"I think the (English) league is perfect for me.
“I would love to stay in England but I don't want to rule anything out. It's the best league with the best players."
The winger is focused on the upcoming World Cup and could use the tournament to showcase his talent on the biggest stage.

Switzerland face the daunting task of taking on Brazil in their opening Group E game in Rostov.
Shaqiri added: “Maybe they've lost some of their value in recent years because of a lack of success.
"But, for me, they'll always be one of the most exciting teams and one of the big favourites for the trophy.
"I cried when Brazil lost the final to France and Ronaldo was injured.
“I wanted a Ronaldo shirt for my birthday – he was always one of my favourite players. Luckily, 2002 (when they won the tournament) was better.
"I'm still a big fan of Brazil, but I won't cry if they lose to Switzerland!"
