Maja revealed last year that the defender popped the question last June while the pair were on holiday in the Maldives.

She actively supports her now-husband on social media but has made a name for herself through her work in marketing and her podcast, Livet På Läktaren (Life on the Stands).

And the Swedish couple tied the knot in beautiful surroundings in their home country before Lindelof joins up with his national squad to prepare for the World Cup.

Lindelof made his Red Devils debut in the 2-1 Super Cup defeat to Real Madrid last August but did not feature in the Premier League until October 14 when United drew 0-0 with Liverpool at Anfield.

He made a total of 29 appearances in all competitions in his first season in English football and helped Jose Mourinho's side keep 13 clean sheets in that time.

The former Benfica star played in nine out of Sweden's ten World Cup qualifying group matches as they finished second behind France but ahead of the Netherlands on goal difference.

The £30million defender then played in both legs of the play-off round as Sweden shocked four-time winners Italy.

A 1-0 aggregate win ensured Sweden's first appearance at the World Cup since 2006, where they reached the second round but were knocked out by hosts Germany.
