Cristiano Ronaldo has ‘lost Real Madrid dressing room’ as stars ‘turn on him’ due to leave hint after Champions League final
During celebrations following victory over Liverpool, Los Blancos' No 7 gave serious hint he would be leaving the club
THE Real Madrid dressing room has "turned on Cristiano Ronaldo", according to reports in Spain.
While players were celebrating yet another Champions League triumph, the Portuguese superstar plunged his future into doubt, telling TV cameras: "It has been very nice playing for Real Madrid."
The comments sent shockwaves across the footballing landscape, with many claiming they had taken a little bit of the shine off Los Blancos' victory over Liverpool.
report his team-mates are fuming with him, and will not forgive him for "spoiling" the celebrations.
The newspaper explains the reasons behind the Ronaldo's comments, citing his "jealousy" of fellow elite players such as Lionel Messi and Neymar as well as his own ego.
It alleges the problem started after last season's Champions League final success when he was promised a huge pay rise which never came.
Ronaldo currently earns £350,000-a-week, which is significantly lower than Lionel Messi (£673,000) and Neymar (£619,000) — and he wants parity.
He is so determined to be No 1 that he allegedly stopped speaking to good friend Marcelo for three months after the Brazilian claimed Messi was the best in the world.
Gareth Bale's two goals stole all the headlines in Kiev, while his overhead kick was lauded more than the former Manchester United man's against Juventus in the last-eight, due to the stage in which he scored it.
Ronaldo is thought to be unhappy at having the limelight "stolen" from him, with his team-mates believing he would not have made those comments had he scored in the Ukrainian capital.

Meanwhile, he is also fuming at the constant rumours of Neymar being sought out as a potential replacement.
And he is frustrated at seeing his hopes of a record-extending sixth Ballon d'Or award take a slight hit with a sub-par individual performance in Kiev.
The club are also angry at their No 7 for once again using an important moment to try to get a salary increase.
However, Ronaldo appeared to soften his stance on any potential exit by telling Real Madrid fans: "I'll see you next year," during their trophy parade.
