Cristiano Ronaldo reveals how armed cops stormed his luxury yacht over Real Madrid star’s tax fraud case
Portuguese forward gave an in-depth interview to Spanish TV ahead of the Champions League final
CRISTIANO RONALDO has opened up about his run-in with armed officers on his luxury yacht last year.
The Real Madrid star was speaking ahead of tomorrow's Champions League final with Liverpool.
Ronaldo, 33, was asked about his relationship with the Spanish authorities.
And he opened up about the incident on his yacht off the Spanish Balearic island of Formentera last summer.
He told Spanish TV programme Jugones: "Spain looks after me but for example, there are a thousand boats in Formentera and the police come onto the smallest little one, Cristiano's one, with cameras. Are we murderers here or what?
"And I was having a nap below, nice and calm, and I heard the police above.
"I went up and said: 'What is going on here?' They had pistols."
The Portuguese forward's boat was boarded by armed customs agents who demanded to see documentation as part of a routine check.
Ronaldo added: "There were cameras outside the boat. The thing is, you think 'Are you going to get annoyed?'
