UNAI EMERY kicked-off his career as Arsenal head coach with a classy message for Arsene Wenger.
The Spanish boss, 46, revealed his admiration for the departing Gunners chief and can't wait for the challenge that lies ahead.
Emery went on to say that nothing less than breaking back into the Champions League will do for his Arsenal side.
But before that, Emery told a packed house: "Thank you Arsene Wenger for your legacy.
"For all the coaches in all the world we learned from him all the things in football.
"It's a big challenge [to replace Wenger]. But I've worked with big projects before and I am proud to be here at work after Wenger."
The Spaniard went on to say he can't wait to get started at Arsenal, despite the challenges that may await.
Emery added: "Arsenal is a big club in a great city with a great stadium and great players.

"It's a big challenge but in my career, every year, I grow up with new challenges.
"For me, the challenge is a dream come true."

Emery went on to say that nothing other than a return to the Champions League will do for his Arsenal side.
He claimed: "[The club] know my ambition, my passion. I want this project at Arsenal. It is a big responsibility. But I think this feeling is very important.
"I believe the players who are here... we can grow as a squad. The objective is to be together and work hard. With this talent and we can challenge for all the titles.
"It is very important for the club, after two years outside of the Champions League to work for it.
"We need to be alongside the best teams in England and the world."
