Barcelona looking ‘to raise up to £90m’ through sale of five players in transfer window including Andre Gomes and Paco Alcacer
Still hopeful of completing £88m signing of Antoine Griezmann, Ernesto Valverde is keen to get rid of his fringe players
BARCELONA are looking to raise up to £90million in player sales in the summer transfer window, according to reports.
The La Liga and Copa del Rey-winners are hopeful of signing Antoine Griezmann, and will wait until his buy-out clause halves to £88m on July 1 before finalising the deal.
However, their plans to sell on-loan Arda Turan to Istanbul Basaksehir permanently took a massive hit when the Turkish midfielder was hit with a 16-match ban for shoving a linesman.
Gomes arrived after Euro 2016, amid interest from Real Madrid and sides in the Premier League, but has struggled to adapt to life at the Nou Camp.
Alcacer has enjoyed a decent goals return since joining from Valencia in 2016, but has barely featured under Ernesto Valverde — and will be on the move.
Rafinha has spent the season on loan at Inter Milan and, despite impressing, it remains to be seen whether the Serie A side will pay the optional fee of £30m agreed between the two sides.

Academy graduate Munir has failed to make the grade and spent the last two seasons on loan at Valencia and Alaves respectively.
Meanwhile, Vidal has been on the market in previous windows without being sold — despite Barcelona's continued struggles at right-back.
