England captain Harry Kane wears personalised boots in honour of daughter… as Gareth Southgate invites three new faces to training
Tottenham striker lands a pair of new Nikes - while Nathaniel Chalobah, Mason Mount and Angus Gunn mix with Three Lions
HARRY KANE has taken one giant leap and one baby step towards the World Cup.
The Tottenham striker became England's skipper for Russia - then unveiled personalised boots in honour of his one-year-old daughter.
And there to see the new footwear in Three Lions' training were a trio of Premier League starlets.
Versatile Watford star Nathaniel Chalobah, 23, Manchester City's former England Under-21 keeper Angus Gunn and Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount, 19, such a hit on loan for Dutch side Vitesse, got the closest glimpse possible of England's build-up to Russia next month.
Those three missed out on Gareth Southgate's 23-man World Cup squad - but two players on standby also trained.
For West Brom midfielder Jake Livermore, it might have been a welcome respite as he recovers from relegation.
But for Burnley centre-back James Tarkowski the feelings could well be more bittersweet.
The 25-year-old has been rewarded for an outstanding season for the seventh-placed Clarets - but many people tipped him to make the full squad.

Kane, meanwhile, was always a shoe-in for selection.
And today he let his footwear do the talking by wearing boots featuring the name of his daughter.
Kane's customised boots are not the first time he has put his daughter Ivy Jane in the headlines.
The 24-year-old drew strong criticism on social media last month after he successfully appealed for Christian Eriksen's winning goal at Stoke to be awarded to him instead.
Asked if he got a touch, Kane replied: "I swear on my daughter's life that I touched the ball."
Meanwhile, Nike players from every country will complement their national team colours at the World Cup with white boots.
The clean white uppers have a matte pearlescent skin and metallic cool grey Swooshes.
Nike are providing premium-plate finishes in the following colours: Total Orange (Mercurial 360), Volt (Hypervenom), Bright Crimson (Magista) and Blue Hero (Tiempo).
