PEP GUARDIOLA powered Manchester City to the Premier League title after becoming addicted to the cult TV series Breaking Bad.
The manager relaxed away from the pitch by regularly bingeing on the black comedy after being introduced to it by his backroom staff.
An insider said: “Pep loves to relax by watching box sets but he’s a busy man so has to rely on suggestions from his team.
“Lots of the guys were telling him how good the series is, so one of them loaned it to him.
“He worked his way through it at home and during all their travelling to games and absolutely loved it.
“And he even joked that he looked a bit like Walter White.”
Breaking Bad is one of the most popular TV series of all time and sees high school chemistry teacher Walter White turn to crime to secure his family’s financial future after being diagnosed with terminal cancer.
White, played by Bryan Cranston, and school drop out Jesse Pinkman, played by Aaron Paul, team up to set up a meth lab in an old truck.
The show initially struggled when it was first aired in America in 2008 but went on to become a cult hit after being picked up by Netflix.
Premier League winning Pep, 42, has previously watched Narcos and House of Cards.
Four years ago, while Pep was manager of Bayern Munich, a German magazine published a mock-up of the footy boss as Walter White, wearing a Bayern shirt, underpants, socks and football boots in the desert.
