MANCHESTER UNITED have unveiled new plans to compete with the likes of Netflix and Amazon to dominate the digital media world.
United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward told the club's investors on the New York Stock Exchange earlier this week of his financial master-plan.
The Premier League giants want an iPhone app, a new website and MUTV to form a three-pronged attack in dominating the digital media world.
Man United want their proposed app to be the No1 sports download on iOS in no fewer than 36 countries.
The club will first turn their attention to their new website - set to launch this summer.
However, the jewel in the crown is said to be a massively revamped MUTV channel.
Woodward appears hell-bent on obtaining rights for all United's live games - having flexed his muscles with earning UK rights to Russia's friendly with France in March.
United's financial supremo is hoping to develop original content in a bid to dominate the market.

And Woodward appears to be coming up with more and more ideas in his bed to boost United's stock.
One proposed idea is to have MUTV become compatible with connected TVs - much like Netflix and Amazon.
On the revolutionary plans, Woodward revealed: “OTT platforms will be the future of content consumption.
“Live, compelling content will be the key battleground. The influences of which are successful.
“Whichever way the rapidly changing media landscape unfolds, content generators are uniquely placed to be the beneficiaries.
"As such we continue to believe live sports content will be increasingly more valuable in the future."
