Sacked Everton boss Sam Allardyce looks down in dumps despite £6million pay-off as he sits alone at Euston train station
Toffees axed beleaguered boss just six months into 18-month contract, giving him a bumper golden handshake
SAM ALLARDYCE has been snapped looking down in the dumps at London Euston train station – despite pocketing a massive £6million from his Everton pay-off.
Sitting alone on a bank of chairs, Allardyce looked like a man down on his luck as his checked his mobile while waiting for a train.
The beleaguered boss was sensationally sacked by the Toffees today despite securing a commendable eighth-place finish in the Premier League during his brief time at Goodison Park.
Allardyce, who was travelling with luxury Louis Vuitton luggage, replaced Ronald Koeman in November and steered Everton out of an impending relegation battle after signing a contract until June 2019.
But the former England gaffer’s tactics were deemed unfashionable by fans, with the Toffees ranking bottom of the league for various stats including shots on goal, and owner Farhad Moshiri is now closing in on his original target to replace Koeman, Marco Silva.
However, Allardyce has six million reasons to feel upbeat after receiving another tasty pay-off to add to his collection.
The extra £6million in his bank account means Allardyce has now received an incredible £13.5m from clubs throughout his career.
In total, Allardyce raked in £11m for his 167-day stint as Everton boss – which works out at an incredible £65,868 PER DAY.
The FA handed over £1m when he was let go by England in 2016 – despite being caught on camera allegedly advising undercover reporters how to breach rules on third-party ownership.

Allardyce banked £2.5m when he was sacked by Blackburn Rovers in 2010, while just two years before receiving £4m from Newcastle – allowing him to invest in a stunning Spanish mansion.
And back in 1996, Allardyce was paid £10,000 to leave Blackpool after they missed out on promotion to League One by a single point.
