Wayne Rooney set to seal DC United switch from Everton within the next week

WAYNE ROONEY’S switch to DC United is “getting close”, according to reports.
The say the MLS club is locked in talks with the Everton player's representatives over a two-year deal worth around £300,000-a-week.
The 32-year-old who has looked surplus to requirements at Everton is set to wave goodbye to the Premier League after 16 years.
There has been no comment from DC United, who are bottom of the Eastern Conference with just one win all season.
But a source close to the club revealed: “Feeling good to wrap up this week or early next.”
Once the deal is agreed, the former England skipper will travel to Washington for a medical and will be available to make his debut when the MLS transfer window opens on July 10.
