David Luiz appears to aim fresh dig at Chelsea boss Antonio Conte after congratulating Reece James on academy player of the year award
Brazilian defender, who has played only five games since October, said: 'your boss is great'
DAVID LUIZ has appeared to aim a fresh dig at Chelsea manager Antonio Conte.
The Brazilian defender, who was in the Premier League team of the season last year, has played only five matches since October after a row with the Italian and a string on injuries.
Luiz posted a picture to his Instagram stories of Reece James, who was handed the academy player of the year award at a gala ceremony on Thursday night.
The caption read: "Congrats little bro. Keep working hard."
But it also had academy manager Joe Edwards tagged in with another message: "Your boss is great."
Conspiracy theorists have claimed it is another dig in the Italian's direction.
Luiz and Conte are said to have had a steaming row after the 3-0 Champions League defeat at Roma in October.
The Brazilian, 31, is believed to have questioned Conte's tactics - and has barely seen the pitch since.
ANT HEATER Conte fires what could be parting swipe at Mourinho by saying Chelsea are better off than when they sacked the Manchester United boss
He had been a regular in the side until that point but since then has played only five games in all competitions.
Only two of those have come in the Premier League, a 30minute cameo against Brighton in January and a single start in the 4-1 humiliation at Watford in February.
Luiz has now missed 30 Chelsea matches this season because of injury.
He had been linked with an exit in January but appears to want to stay in SW6, especially with Conte looking increasingly likely to leave Stamford Bridge.
On Friday Luiz also took a picture of himself in next season's home kit.
He wrote: "The new home kit.
"Let's win together geezers!"
