DAVID MOYES has hinted his future lies away from West Ham after questioning whether the club can match his ambition.
The ex-Manchester United chief wants to manage a club capable of challenging for a top-six spot in the Premier League.
And despite keeping West Ham in the top flight, Moyes revealed he turned down the chance to manage another Prem club — believed to be Stoke — during his six-month reign at the London Stadium.
Moyes’ short-term deal with the Hammers runs out after Sunday’s final game against Everton and he said: “I want to be a manager pushing the top six or eight. You need the tools for that.
“I think I’d be right for quite a lot of clubs. I have to make sure I’ve got what I want to do.
“For most of my seasons I’ve been competing at the top six, eight. I know what it looks like, I know what you need to get there. I need to see if West Ham are going to get there.

“I want to make sure I can give the supporters what they crave.
“There are lots of things we can do better — like around the training ground. My experience has allowed me to see what good really looks like off the pitch.”
Moyes will have showdown talks with West Ham joint-chairman David Sullivan next week and will put spending on players at the top of the agenda.
Moyes is keen to bolster his defensive and midfield options after conceding 42 goals away from home this season.
Fulham right-back Ryan Fredericks has been watched by the Hammers boss personally in the past few weeks, with a view to replacing the ageing duo of Pablo Zabaleta, 33, and Patrice Evra, 36.
And Moyes is also determined to submit a fresh bid for Fulham skipper Tom Cairney after having a £15million bid rejected in January.

But these deals could depend on whether their London neighbours gain promotion through the play-offs.
The 55-year-old, who will collect a bonus of around £2m for keeping West Ham up, added: “I could have joined a Premier League club during the season here when I was West Ham manager. I chose not to.
“But I’ve got other things if my deal is not renewed. It’s not a problem.”
Meanwhile, Moyes has astonishingly claimed that West Ham did the pick of January transfer business despite bringing in just Evra and little-used Jordan Hugill, plus Joao Mario on loan from Inter.
Ahead of tonight’s clash with Manchester United he said: “West Ham arguably had the best January of any Premier League club.
