Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan blasted for not celebrating against old club Manchester United
Armenian endured an unsuccessful 18-month stint at Old Trafford before being flogged in favour of Alexis Sanchez in January
ARSENAL forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been slated for refusing to celebrate against his former club.
The Armenian bagged an equaliser against old foes Manchester United in Arsenal's 2-1 defeat to the Red Devils.
Mkhitaryan, 29, endured an unsuccessful spell at Old Trafford following his move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2016.
He moved to Arsenal in January with Alexis Sanchez heading in the opposite direction.
And he came back to show Jose Mourinho what he is missing when his low drive left David de Gea with no chance after 51 minutes.
But he refused to celebrate and instead raised both arms in the air in a show of respect to his former club.
Fans were left shocked that Mkhitaryan didn't show more emotion in his celebration after the way he was treated at the club.
One said: "Mkhitaryan should have done a mad celebration in front of Mourinho."

Another joked: "Mkhitaryan you were at Old Trafford about a fortnight mate. Celebrate on your knees in front of the Stretford End."
One supporter also added: "Did Mkhitaryan really refuse to celebrate after that goal?

"Yeah it's a good gesture not to celebrate against an old team but never really expected that given the way he had to leave the club."
United fans were desperate for Mkhi to leave in order to push through Sanchez's switch to United.
In January one disgruntled United fan said: "Tears in my eyes the Armenian wimp is leaving my club! Good riddance."
