Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho praised by owner Joel Glazer in phone call for good work at club
Special One received unexpected phone call from Old Trafford chief telling him he's doing a fine job as boss
JOEL GLAZER called Jose Mourinho to tell him what a good job he is doing as Manchester United boss.
Mourinho is on target to secure Champions League football for another season and face Chelsea in the FA Cup final on May 19.
United’s co-chairman’s message telling Mourinho how satisfied the Glazer family are will be a big boost for the Portuguese.
Mourinho claims the club had lost its winning mentality before he arrived — and that has been restored.
He told Sky Sports News: “I knew the club I was coming to.
“One thing is to go to a club that is prepared to win. I knew that was not the case, the owners knew that, the CEO knew that.
“So when I came to Manchester United, I knew it was not to have instant success. But in spite of it, three trophies and now another final. Not bad.”
Mourinho also revealed he did NOT want to sell Mo Salah at Chelsea.
