Wembley sale: Will England still play at the national stadium after NFL owner Shahid Khan purchase?
THE future of the England team at Wembley has been thrown into fresh doubt as the FA make the unprecedented move to sell the national stadium.
Fulham owner Shahid Khan has made an offer of £600m, with a further £400m set to go to grassroots football.
And here is how the deal is likely to affect the national team.
Will England continue to play at Wembley?
The FA's deal with Shahid Khan sees both sides keen to continue hosting major events at Wembley - including England matches.
But this could change depending on whether an NFL franchise is moved to London.
Pending a vote by the 32 NFL club owners, Khan would be likely to either relocate his own Jacksonville Jaguars, or install another team in the UK capital.
The NFL season runs from the beginning of September through to the Super Bowl at the start of February.

That would affect England's autumn friendlies and qualifiers.
And English football's governing body already appear to be preparing to stage some games away from Wembley, starting with September's friendly at home to Switzerland.
But they would no doubt be determined to keep the most high-profile qualifiers, friendlies and Uefa Nations League matches in London.
If there is a clash the NFL will take priority, meaning the FA may decide to schedule mainly away England internationals during the autumn period.
