Manchester United want Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon but Tottenham still favourites to land 17-year-old star

Championship sensation is in demand after scooping an unprecedented five PFA awards

MANCHESTER UNITED are reportedly trying to convince Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon to sign for them this summer.

The 17-year-old has got the attention of the Premier League big guns after a stellar season in the Championship.

And are claiming United are trying to steal a march on Tottenham by convincing him to move to Old Trafford if he quits Fulham at the end of the season.

Jose Mourinho wants another full-back added to the ranks with Ashley Young the first choice on the left hand side of defence.

However, the England international is still considered more of a winger, while No2 left-back Luke Shaw has had many high-profile bust-ups with Mourinho and could leave at the end of the season.

Tottenham are still the preferred choice of Sessegnon — who won Championship Player of the Year, Young Player of the Season, Apprentice of the Year, and was named in the Team of the Season and EFL Club Developed XI.
