CARDIFF'S re-arranged fixture with Derby has seen a frosty atmosphere between the two clubs.

But tonight's fixture is under no threat of being called off - thanks to the travelling fans.

In a nod to the snow which derailed the original fixture, some of the Bluebirds faithful turned up armed with shovels.

The Rams were in the midst of an injury crisis last month when the clash was postponed.

And when the snow had cleared from around the stadium by kick-off, club chiefs were accused of not doing everything they could to get the game on.

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock originally called the decision "a disgrace" but has since tried to cool the war of words.

He said: "When you're fighting for what we are both fighting for there's going to be an edge, and the same with the fans.

"The players get on well with each other if I'm honest.

"It was light-hearted and there'll be shaking hands at the end of the game, I'm sure."

Shaun Morrison mocked Derby players in a WhatsApp video which was later leaked followed the postponement.

But Warnock does not feel the foul-mouthed rant warrants any attention, insisting: "Life's too short".
