Who is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? Little Mix star Perrie Edwards boyfriend and England footballer
England and Liverpool midfielder is hoping to go to the World Cup after a successful first season on Merseyside
IT'S been some first season for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain at Liverpool - and it could end with a World Cup call-up.
The former Southampton and Arsenal winger joined the Reds in a £35m move last summer and has gone from strength to strength under Jurgen Klopp.
For several years the England talent was on the fringes at Arsenal but has featured in the most Premier League games of his career so far this season.
Who is Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain?
A TRAINEE with Southampton, The Ox burst onto the scene in 2010 when the Saints were languishing in League One.
His raw pace and eye for goal attracted Premier League clubs as the 17-year-old bagged nine goals in his debut season, helping Southampton on their way back to the Championship.
He completed a £15million move to Arsenal in August 2011 and spent six years with the Gunners, winning the FA Cup twice and a Community Shield.
But he was always on the fringes of Arsene Wenger's starting XI and never played in more than 25 Premier League games per season during his time in North London.
A move to Merseyside followed last summer as Jurgen Klopp swooped with a £35m offer for the Portsmouth-born star.
Since moving to the Reds, Oxlade-Chamberlain has helped the side to a comfortable top-four position in the league and a Champions League challenge, including a stunning goal against Manchester City.
He has 32 England caps and is hoping to extend that at the World Cup - with his place on the plane still to be decided by boss Gareth Southgate.
How long has he been dating Perrie Edwards?
THE LIVERPOOL star is in a relationship with Little Mix singer Perrie Edwards.
They were first spotted out and about in Paris in December 2016, but didn't make things public until February 2017, when Oxlade-Chamberlain accompanied Perrie to the BRIT Awards.
She seems keen to support his football career and was there to see the Ox's superb goal against City - although she was given a bit of grief for sporting a half-and-half scarf.
