PEP GUARDIOLA says he will ignore Manchester United's clash with West Brom by playing a round of golf with his son - even though the result could see Manchester City crowned champions.
Guardiola's side are on the bring of lifting the Premier League title after their 3-1 win over Tottenham opened up a 16 point gap at the top of the table.
If United slip to a defeat against relegation threatened West Brom today, that will be enough for City to claim the trophy with five games to spare.
Though mathematically a draw would still leave them with work to do, City would have to lose their final five matches and United would need to overturn a 30-goal deficit to overhaul them.
But Guardiola insists he will not be glued to his television watching events play out at Old Trafford - and will be aiming to shoot a low round on the golf course instead.
Asked if he would be watching, the 47-year-old said: "I have golf with my son.
"It will probably be bogey, double bogey, birdie."
Though City are playing down talk they are already champions, the win at Wembley over Spurs has left even Guardiola reflecting on the magnitude of their efforts this season.
