SHEFFIELD UNITED’S clash with Cardiff City is expected to go ahead despite snow battering South Yorkshire

The Blades did not open their box office, reception or club shop this morning due to the conditions.

Sheffield United are set to play Cardiff at 7.45 this evening but snow has hit the city

And their Under-23s game at home to Colchester United has already been called off.

But the Blades sent out a message on social media late afternoon they proved they expected the game to be ON.

The club wrote: “Bramall Lane is in great shape for tonight’s game but needless to say, wrap up warm and bring a waterproof!”

Sky Sports are due to screen the Championship fixture, with Neil Warnock coming up against his former club.
