JOSE MOURINHO says he has not got a clue why Paul Pogba has become an £89million flop.
The midfield star has been subbed and axed recently by his Manchester United boss.
But when quizzed why is performing so poorly, Mourinho said: “Ask him. Ask him, when you get a chance, what he thinks about it.”
The pair have clearly had a major problem since Mourinho subbed the club-record signing during the loss to Tottenham in January.
He has started four games on the bench since then, including the last two.
The midfielder has also annoyed his boss by claiming United players were not happy with his tactics.
And Mourinho was not pleased when Pog interrupted a Match of the Day interview he was doing.
Yet Pogba looked a different player in midweek when he starred for France in their 3-1 win in Russia, scoring a spectacular free-kick and providing an assist.
Mourinho added: “I work. It’s the only thing I can do.”
The 25-year-old will be looking to shine when the Red Devils welcome Swansea to Old Trafford on Saturday.
