Roma ace Radja Nainggolan fined £1,400 and banned from getting behind wheel for month after drink-driving rap
RADJA NAINGGOLAN has been fined £1,400 and banned after a drink-driving rap.
The tattooed Roma midfielder, 29, was found under the influence in his native country following an international match against Greece last year.
According to Belgian outlet , Nainggolan was pulled over driving a rented Audi after a night out in the Belgian city of Sint-Niklaas.
It did not seem to have an effect on his game-time for Red Devils boss Roberto Martinez though, as he played 32 minutes in Belgium's 4-0 thumping of Saudi Arabia on Tuesday.
Nainggolan is expected to start for Belgium in the World Cup and the national team have not given him any punishment for the offence.
But the Serie A star has claimed he plans to fight the charge and that it was his friend and former player Zinho Chergui who was behind the wheel of the vehicle after it was stopped.

His lawyer Walter Damen said: "The police did not see my client driving and Zinho Chergui confirmed that he was at the wheel."
Nainggolan has scored three goals for Roma in Serie A this season and has six goals in 27 appearances in his Belgium career.

The Chelsea target also recently had his famous Mahican shaved down, suggesting he is ready to rein in his bad-boy image.
During New Year's Eve he was spotted drinking and smoking in a video uploaded to social media, for which he was forced to apologise.
There has been speculation Roma could be set to balance their books in the summer after recording a £36million loss last year.
They also hired former Sevilla sporting director Monchi to oversee their transfers, targeting value for money in the market over big-name purchases.
