Veteran striker was talking to journalists in mixed zone after France's win over Russia when Mbappe walked past in background
THIS is the incredible moment Olivier Giroud lost his cool when reporters stopped talking to him mid-sentence to try to speak to team-mate Kylian Mbappe.
The pair both featured in France’s 3-1 win over Russia on Tuesday.
Paul Pogba scored a magnificent free-kick but it was Mbappe who walked off with the match ball after netting the other two goals.
He was clearly the man everyone wanted to talk to after the game, including French journalists keen for a post-match quote.
However, Giroud was the man stopping for questions in the mixed zone afterwards following his 20 minute stint in the match.
All was going well as the Chelsea man gave his opinion on the result, which was badly needed after France’s embarrassing defeat to Colombia last week.
But as soon as Mbappe walked past in the background, reports talking to Giroud immediately stopped and instead tried to grab the attention of Paris Saint-Germain’s big-money striker.
This clearly irked Giroud, who was taken aback by the journalists’ attitude.
The former Arsenal star started to talk away while saying: “You want to see him? Go see him then.”
But the reporters seemed to have a change of heart, with Giroud turning back round to them following their quick apologies.
