BARCELONA are reportedly lining up a shock move for Manchester United outcast Luke Shaw.
claims Nou Camp chiefs are ready to make an approach following the 22-year-old’s sensational fall from grace under Jose Mourinho.
Shaw looked to have worked his way back into the Special One’s plans after a number of injury problems.
But a disastrous performance in the FA Cup win over Brighton saw Mourinho lash out at Shaw, effectively ending his Old Trafford career.
The left-back has just over 12 months remaining on his contract, and a summer exit looks likely.
Barcelona are apparently looking to strengthen in that position, with Lucas Digne expected to leave after failing to displace first-choice Jordi Alba.
Their preferred choice is said to be Bayern Munich’s David Alaba, but the Austrian is also wanted by Real Madrid and could cost too much.
In contrast, Shaw could be available for a fairly reasonable price due to his contract situation.
