ERIK PIETERS has apologised for the night-out with his wife – which cost him a £70,000 club fine.
The Stoke City full back was dropped by Paul Lambert for the Potters’ recent defeat by Everton and fined two weeks wages, after breaking a curfew by attending a promotional event in a night club on the eve of the match.
Lambert was furious at the way the Dutchman flouted club rules.
He even posed for a photograph with his wife Nermina, who is a star of the reality TV show Real Housewives of Cheshire, at a VIP event.
However, Stoke assistant manager Stuart Taylor revealed Pieters has accepted his punishment and apologised for his misdemeanour.
“Erik knows he is in the wrong and he has apologised for that.
