Jan Oblak admits it is ‘difficult’ to say if he’ll be at Atletico Madrid next season as Liverpool, PSG and Arsenal hover
Much-wanted Slovenia keeper is in the dark over his future as he waits to see if the Spanish giants will offer him a new deal
JOB OBLAK'S Premier League admirers might be keener than ever tonight after the Atletico Madrid keeper admitted his future was up in the air.
Arsenal, Liverpool. Chelsea and Manchester United are among the biggest fans of the Slovenia No 1.
And the 25-year-old, who has an £88million release clause, told his country's newspaper it was "difficult" to predict what will happen next season.
Paris Saint-Germain are also thought to have looked at Oblak, who has amassed 86 clean sheets in 149 games for Spain's 'third club'.
Oblak said: "About a new contract at Atletico I can only tell you one thing -- there is nothing new.
"I know there have been many things written about how everything is agreed, and also the other way saying there will be no new contract.
"The only certain thing is that there is nothing new.
"I have a contract I signed two-and-a-half years ago. Soon we will know what Atletico's plan is.
ZLAT'S THAT Zlatan Ibrahimovic quits Manchester United and joins LA Galaxy in incredible move
"It is difficult to talk about what will happen tomorrow, more difficult to say what will happen next season."
Arsenal are reaching the stage where they will want to identify a long-term successor to Petr Cech, 35.
And Thibaut Courtois has had arguably his weakest season since establishing as the first-choice Chelsea keeper.
Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp possibly had his fingers crossed behind his back when he publicly stated in January that Loris Karius would be his first-choice stopper.
Over in France, PSG are long thought to have been casting an eye around for a bigger name between the sticks than Under-21 international Alphonse Areola.
And the French AA could be driven out if the big spenders come knocking for Oblak.
The keeper's Madrid team-mates teammates Antoine Griezmann, Koke and Saul Niguez signed lengthy contracts last summer.
But initial talks with Oblak seemed to end in August admit reports he was unwilling to commit to just one more year.
