English centre-back only wanted to bask in the Dane's goal-scoring glory but suffered a kick to the scrotum

SOUTHAMPTON star Jack Stephens might struggle to celebrate Sunday’s FACup win after a kick in the nuts from celebrating team-mate Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

The Danish midfielder scored the opener for the Saints, in their 2-0 win over Wigan and dashed to celebrate in style.

A Dusan Tadic corner from the left found the midfielder who turned it goalwards and Dan Burn was unable to keep it out.

Centre-back Stephens tried to join in with the celebrations but the 24-year-old caught a stray boot in his crown jewels and went down.

Saints boss Mark Hughes - who has landed a Wembley trip from his first game in charge – said: “It was an important day for the players today.

“I have been really impressed with the quality of the talent I have.

"We stood up to Wigan. It was a statement of intent and a start.
