Chelsea transfer news: Blues set to lose their longest serving player with Matej Delac eyeing summer exit
Croatian keeper signed for the Blues in 2009 but has never played for the first team and his contract is up
CHELSEA are set to say farewell to their longest-serving player Matej Delac at the end of the season.
The Croatian keeper, 25, signed for the Blues in 2009 but has never played for the first team and will now quit in the summer.
Delac is currently having a good spell in Belgium with Mouscron.
And that is the TENTH loan move of his bizarre time at Stamford Bridge.
Despite being called up at all levels by Croatia, Delac has had to travel around Europe for game time at various clubs.
His contract is up in the summer and Delac is already looking for a long-term home — and an end to his long but frustrating time at Chelsea.
EVERTON’S young striker Bassala Sambou is wanted by Tony Mowbray at Blackburn.
The German-born 20-year-old, could join Rovers in the summer and will, hopefully, enjoy Championship football at Ewood.
Powerful Sambou played for Mowbray at Coventry when he was a kid before moving to Goodison.

He could switch on loan or even for cash.
Blackburn sent a delegation last week to watch the player, who seems unlikely to figure in Everton’s Premier League plans for next season.
PAUL HECKINGBOTTOM has put a new keeper at the top of his wanted list.
German Felix Wiedwald has been axed by the Leeds boss and will not be No 1 next season.
And Andy Lonergan, 34, was told he could go before the new manager arrived last month.
Heckingbottom will have to juggle his finances this summer but a decent shot-stopper is in line to get a chunk of his funds.
Leeds will also carry out a review of backroom staff after a poor season at Elland Road — with departures likely.
ASTON VILLA have put Bristol City’s Joe Bryan on their watch-list.
Chief scout Tony Coton has run an eye over the raiding left-back, who would add fresh legs and thrust to the Villa side.
Boss Steve Bruce will have a chance of landing Bryan, 24, if Villa go back to the Premier League — but he may be too pricey in the Championship.
PPRESTON new-boy Louis Moult could be moving with Rangers watching his troubles.
The striker joined Alex Neil’s men from Motherwell in January but he is struggling to make an impact.
And now the Glasgow giants have a renewed interest in Moult, 25, whose aggressive style suited the Scottish Premier League.
PATRICK KLUIVERT has his son on his mind as he considers taking the Oxford job.
Dutch legend Kluivert is being targeted by the League One club’s new backer.
Meanwhile son Justin, 18, who plays for Ajax, is being targeted by Barcelona — where Patrick spent six years.
LES CHAPMAN, the former Manchester City backroom boy, is recovering from a heart attack.
Cheerful ‘Chappy’, 69, was a popular face at City for years, working on the staff for many bosses, until he left this year.
He is expected to make a full recovery.
NOTTS COUNTY’S bid to sign Spain winger Diego Capel is being held up by fresh wage demands.
County are willing to give the free agent £10,000 a week, plus £5,000 a game. But his advisers want more after checking the amount of UK tax he would pay.
The League Two club are frustrated while Capel , 30, lets the middle men haggle and possibly wreck the chance of his move.
