HARRY KANE has  pledged to stay with Tottenham for at least one more season.

But manager Mauricio Pochettino faces a fight to keep Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose — with Manchester United now plotting a summer move for both key defenders.

Superstar striker Kane is  in Real Madrid’s sights, even though the Spanish giants know he could cost in excess of £200million.

Kane is tempted to join the world’s biggest club at some stage.

But, for now, he is  determined to stay and lead Spurs into their new stadium next season — a huge boost  after the agony of their Champions League exit this week.

The England ace, 24,  will then wait to see whether Spurs look like serious title contenders before making the crunch  decision on his  future.

And  he wants the club to show they match his ambition by backing Pochettino in the transfer market.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has no intention of selling his best player.

Talks are already under way on an improved contract at the North London club.

Kane saw  former team-mate Kyle Walker move to Manchester City on £180,000 a week.

And the hitman reckons he should  be among the Prem’s  top earners.

He currently earns a basic salary of  £110,000 a week. Poch already runs the risk of losing Rose and Alderweireld in the summer.

Belgian Alderweireld, 29, missed Spurs’ Champions League clashes with Italian giants Juventus through a hamstring injury as they crashed out in the last 16.

And he  is unhappy at the club’s latest contract offer of £110,000 per week plus bonuses, seeking closer to £140,000 a week. If Spurs cannot agree a new deal, a clause in his contract means Alderweireld will be available for  £25m in 2019.

That gives Tottenham an  incentive  to cash in  — and United believe they  will win the race to sign him.

Left-back Rose, 27, also wants to  move to Old Trafford but United first need to offload Luke Shaw.

Tottenham are monitoring Fulham’s 17-year-old left-back Ryan Sessegnon.
